QuickBooks Online integration — two-way accounting sync
Oneop syncs customers, invoices, bills, payments and the chart of accounts with QuickBooks Online in both directions. Outbound sync runs on demand.
Plenty of businesses keep their accountant in QuickBooks even after their operations move elsewhere. The QuickBooks Online integration keeps both systems telling the same financial story.
What it does
Two-way sync of the core accounting objects between Oneop and QuickBooks Online: customers, invoices, bills, payments and the chart of accounts. Changes arriving from QuickBooks come in through a signature-verified webhook — an unverified payload is rejected, not trusted.
What syncs, in which direction
- Bi-directional: customers, invoices, bills, payments, chart of accounts.
- Inbound: webhook-driven updates from QuickBooks as they happen.
- Outbound: pushed to QuickBooks when you run a sync. Be clear about the cadence: outbound sync is a manual action — there is no background scheduler. You (or your bookkeeper) click sync when you want QuickBooks brought current. If you need continuous unattended sync, this integration does not do that today.
Setup
Connect your QuickBooks Online company from integrations settings. Map runs against the synced chart of accounts, so postings line up with the categories your accountant already uses.
What it does not do
- No continuous or real-time outbound sync — on-demand only, stated above.
- No QuickBooks Payroll, Time, or Desktop edition support.
- It does not replace Oneop’s own general ledger; it mirrors documents between the two systems.
Related module and plan notes
Works with the Finance module, which is present in every workspace — there is no accounting module to switch on. What varies is the plan: invoicing is available on every plan; AP surfaces (bills) are Pro and above.
